My last story ran on May 5. I want to be straight with you about why it has been quiet since then.
The biggest reason is that I went back to school. I work overnight shifts during the week and go to class during the day, and somewhere in there I have to sleep. Something had to give for a while, and it was the reporting.
I have also been helping set up a new church here in Covington. Building something from the ground up takes time and heart, and it has been worth both.
None of that means I stopped paying attention. Over the last few weeks I have been going through public records on the Conyers Police Department's surveillance technology, and what they show is a story residents deserve to hear.
So I am back. I may not publish as often as before, but when I do, it will be built on records, it will be fair, and it will be about what the people spending your money are doing with it.
Thank you for sticking around. I want to be here for the community and reporting fair and accurate information for the people. I am able to do what I do because I have good relations with the city of Conyers.
